Job Details
An established organisation operating within the defence and technology sector is seeking a Commercial Officer to support a range of complex and high-value programmes. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with internal teams, customers and subcontractors, providing commercial guidance and helping deliver successful project outcomes.
The Role
The successful candidate will support commercial activities across bids and live programmes, helping manage risk, develop contract propositions and ensure strong commercial governance. Working alongside project and bid teams, you will provide advice on commercial matters and contribute to resolving issues across a variety of scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide commercial support and advice to internal teams, customers and subcontractors
* Assist with the preparation of commercial proposals and contract documentation
* Support complex bids and projects, identifying risks and helping develop mitigation strategies
* Work collaboratively with project managers and stakeholders to ensure effective commercial outcomes
* Contribute to the ongoing development and effectiveness of the commercial function
About You
* Experience in a commercial, contracts or business support role
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Ability to work across multiple projects and manage competing priorities
* An interest in working within complex programmes, ideally within a technical or regulated environment
