Based in Bellshill, our client is recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis. The role is based in the office in Bellshill, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm (or 8am–4pm if preferred). Due to the location, it is advisable that applicants have access to their own transport.
Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working as part of a team of four, the Finance Assistant will undertake a varied range of duties. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; bank reconciliations, processing payments, expenses, journals, sub-contractor payments, raising sales invoices, petty cash, and providing ad hoc support within the finance function. The IT system used is Sage.
What you'll need to succeed
You should have experience in a similar role; training will be provided for areas where you are less experienced. A positive attitude towards learning is essential. You will possess a team-player attitude and be able to work well independently. Strong professional and personable communication skills are required, as you will liaise with management, site staff, and colleagues daily via telephone, email, and face-to-face interactions. Building relationships with colleagues is key. Sage experience is advantageous but not essential.
