Overview
The Galashiels Interchange Facilities Coordinator role is a permanent position with 35 hours per week. Salary: £29,198.33 - £31,589.07 per annum. Grade: 6A. Hourly Rate: £15.99 - £17.30.
Role Purpose: We have a new and exciting opportunity based at the Galashiels Interchange for an enthusiastic and motivated Facilities Coordinator. The successful candidate needs to be a strong team player with good communication skills. They will manage day-to-day facility aspects of the Galashiels interchange and oversee facilities services at a number of additional council buildings and schools within the local area. This includes line management of cleaners, janitors and school crossing patrollers. This is a key holder position with the requirement of attending out-of-hours call outs when required (both during the week and at weekends). The right candidate needs to be flexible to meet the needs of the service and be able to respond to tasks quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day facility aspects of the Galashiels interchange and oversee facilities services at additional council buildings and schools in the local area.
* Line manage cleaners, janitors and school crossing patrollers.
* Act as a key holder and respond to out-of-hours call outs when required (weekdays and weekends).
* Maintain flexibility to meet the needs of the service and respond to tasks quickly and efficiently.
Essential Qualifications
* Standard Grade in English and Maths.
* Substantial relevant experience.
* A current driving licence and use of a vehicle (essential).
* If you have a condition that precludes you from holding a driving licence, Scottish Borders Council will consider reasonable adjustments to enable travel responsibilities where possible.
