Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a dedicated SEN Class Teacher to join a specialist primary school in Scunthorpe. This role offers the opportunity to inspire and support pupils aged 5-11 with autism, learning disabilities, and complex needs. About the Role As an SEN Class Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' individual learning styles and abilities. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that nurtures social, emotional, and academic growth. Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists, and families to ensure every child's needs are met. Promote independence, resilience, and key life skills alongside academic progress. Assess and monitor progress in line with each pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who: Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent. Has experience teaching children with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs (desirable). Brings creativity, patience, and adaptability to every lesson. Can build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues. Has a positive, proactive approach to behaviour management and inclusion.
