What will you be doing?
We have an exciting internal opportunity to join the team as a Quality Assurance Technician on Night Shift where you will perform measurement and inspection of lenses, auditing of wet paperwork and final release of product. You will ensure that lenses manufactured meet the required specifications and regulatory requirements.
You will conduct auditing of the final lot history record to ensure evidence that procedures have been followed, documented and that the traceability of components and personnel are maintained
You will conduct verification of Sterilisation charts, to ensure all critical parameters in relation to the sterilisation have been achieved prior to lot release.
Specifically your responsibilities will be:
1. Measurement of lenses in line with the Quality Management system
2. Recording true and accurate data for the lenses measured. This is completed either using the electronic system (CVM), Microsoft Excel or controlled paperwork forms available from the eQMS (Agile).
3. Verification and releasing of Sterilisation charts – Ensuring Critical parameters have been met.
4. Auditing of Lot History Record to ensure traceability of required actions and personnel.
5. Authority to Release product on the electronic system (CVM) if all lot testing and auditing meet the set requirements.
6. The ability to Raise NCR’s when required, if lots fail to follow standard procedural or sample plan requirements.
7. To support the requirement of both routine and non-routine lens measuring activities in UK Manufacturing if required (Investigations/Complaints/Validation/Shelf Life)
8. Store quality records and retention samples correctly to enable timely retrieval if required.
9. Support the management, storage, archive and retrieval of Quality Records.
10. Other duties as directed by Line Manager and the QA Management
What are we looking for?
We would ideally like you to have the following:
11. Two years contact lens or process knowledge in Quality Assurance and / or manufacturing
12. Basic knowledge of use of Word/Excel/Agile/CVM
13. Possess a reasonable understanding of Quality Assurance and the purpose of the role
14. Ability to work alone as well as part of a team.
15. Adaptable and self-starter
16. Good communicator,

18. Aptitude for learning
