Duties and Responsibilities
* Advising on a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of investment properties, as well as lease negotiations for both landlords and tenants.
* Supporting team-wide transactions, including the preparation and negotiation of certificates, reports, and related documentation.
* Assisting with the drafting and negotiation of various transaction documents and undertaking due diligence exercises.
* Supporting the real estate elements of large-scale corporate property transactions and financing matters.
* Delivering a high standard of client service in a professional and commercially focused manner at all times.
* Ensuring client matters are progressed efficiently, with regular communication provided regarding progress and costs.
* Maintaining confidentiality and security of all client documentation and sensitive information.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and industry contacts.
* Contributing towards agreed billing and time recording targets.
Skills & Experience
* 5–8 years’ PQE gained within a commercial real estate practice at a well-regarded law firm.
* Strong academic background.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and concisely.
* Ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
* Strong drafting and written communication skills.
* Sound technical and analytical capability.
* Commercially minded with an interest in business development and marketing initiatives.
* High attention to detail, alongside strong organisational and listening skills.
* Confident and personable, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
* Calm and resilient, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
