Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in food preparation, cooking, and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
* Supervise kitchen staff and assist in team management to ensure efficient workflow.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including workstations and equipment.
* Ensure all food safety regulations are followed, including proper food storage and handling.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
* Assist in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Contribute creative ideas for menu development and special promotions.
Skills
* Proven experience preferably with restaurant experience.
* Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods.
* Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen.
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
* Previous supervising experience is advantageous.
