This role requires a strategic brand leader who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment, with a roll-your-sleeves-up, start-up mindset — someone who can define brand positioning while also writing briefs, reviewing edits, managing creators, and producing content with hands-on speed. roll-your-sleeves-up, start-up mindset You will elevate the brand through content, campaigns, PR, partnerships, video, events, and storytelling — shaping how the company is perceived by customers, partners, and the market. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner in driving marketing excellence across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Brand Strategy & Positioning Define the brand’s positioning, narrative, tone of voice, and creative identity. Maintain and evolve brand guidelines, ensuring they remain relevant as the company scales. Conduct regular market and audience research to inform brand direction and messaging. Creative Direction & Asset Oversight Plan, coordinate and deliver all major brand assets — digital, print, video, event materials, scripted content, website copy etc. Work closely with designers, creators, and agencies (if utilised) to ensure quality and alignment. Own creative briefs and ensure clarity of objectives, deliverables, and success metrics. Lead the evolution of our internal brand artefacts (e.g. presentation templates, email signatures) to better reflect the brand and be practical to use for all departments. Content & Campaign Leadership Oversee and deliver the Brand calendar — campaigns, PR stories, blog content, announcements, case studies, videos, and case studies. Partner with Acquisition and Retention to produce content that supports funnel performance (SEO content, acquisition assets, email campaigns, etc.). Work with Acquisition to drive content distribution across high-value, third-party platforms to increase our content’s reach and impact on SEO Develop compelling brand stories across formats: long-form, short-form, video, social, email, and press. Social Media Define our social media strategy, ensuring regular content is created and published across all Vivastreet social media properties Explore the use of automation to ensure BAU content is frequently published alongside Stay on the pulse of the latest social media trends, enabling us to stay current in opur social activity and be aware of vomeptitor activity Influencers, Partners, & PR Identify, negotiate, and manage influencer and ambassador relationships. Build strong relationships with PR agencies and media outlets to secure high-value placements. Coordinate partner campaigns to ensure mutual value and strong execution. Video & Creative Production Lead video strategy from concept to execution — scripting, storyboarding, production partners, editing, and distribution. Champion a culture of agile content creation, enabling fast-turnaround assets during campaigns. Events & Brand Activations Select, negotiate, and manage sponsored events, conferences, and community activations. Ensure the brand is consistently represented through visuals, messaging, and experiential elements. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Product to ensure new features are communicated on-brand, consistently and engagingly. Collaborate with Data teams to measure brand perception, sentiment, reach, and campaign impact. Support Sales and Partnership teams with brand-led materials (pitch decks, case studies, collateral). Analytics, Reporting & Optimisation Establish reporting and insights to measure brand performance, including awareness, perception and sentiment analysis Track performance across PR, campaigns, video, and owned channels. Use insights to refine messaging, targeting, and creative strategy. Maintain a clear, data-backed view of brand health and momentum. Team Growth & Innovation Once up to speed, make a recommendation as to any further team needs. If any new hires, lead and coach brand team members. Establish processes for creative reviews, approvals, and content cadence Help shape a world-class brand function as the company scales. Show leadership and innovation in the adoption of AI to scale work and increase efficiency. KPIs Blog traffic & visibility Campaign volume & reach PR publications secured Video views & engagement Partner campaign impact Number of case studies delivered Events sponsored and activated Influencer partnerships & reach Qualifications Extensive experience in brand, content, or creative leadership for an online, fast-growth business. Strong creative instincts paired with the ability to execute quickly and pragmatically. Demonstrated success running brand campaigns, video projects, influencer programs, and PR initiatives. Skilled at storytelling, messaging, and content development across multiple formats. Experience managing agencies, freelancers and creators. A proactive, self-starter— always seeking new ways to grow reach and brand equity. A doer mentality — willing to dive into campaigns, dashboards, or creative design directly. Ability to balance long-term brand-building with rapid short-term deliverables. Comfort with ambiguity and evolving priorities. Able to blend creativity with a data-led approach to insights and decision-making. Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to represent Marketing at senior levels. Leadership experience, including managing and developing small performance-focused teams. Knowledge of the digital marketplace industry is a plus.
