Cineworld Aberdeen Queens Links is looking to recruit a Team Leader (39 hour contract) to join their team.
The cinema is a complexity 3 site with 9 screens, located on a leisure park just outside the city centre, next to the beach and a links golf course. It features a Concessions Stand, a separate Baskin Robbins scoop ice cream area, and a Pic n Mix section.
The full management team includes a General Manager, 2 Cinema Managers, and 4 Team Leaders.
The cinema screens a diverse range of films, including Bollywood/Tamil screenings, alternative content events, and mainstream Hollywood movies. It has strong links to local schools and businesses and is renowned for corporate events.
THE ROLE:
Lead the front-of-house team and operations to deliver an exceptional customer experience aligned with business strategy.
Serve as the first escalation point for customer interactions and assume Duty Manager responsibilities, including key-holding, as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support management in achieving KPIs and strategic objectives.
* Maintain a visible front-of-house presence at all times and ensure effective communication with the management team and staff.
* Participate in management and team meetings; undertake opening and closing duties as needed.
* Motivate and develop team members through coaching, mentoring, and performance management. Support recruitment and induction processes.
* Organize resources effectively to meet operational needs.
* Create a customer-focused environment to enhance the customer journey and uphold brand standards.
* Maintain high standards of film presentation, cleanliness, maintenance, and safety.
* Manage staff scheduling to meet business demands.
* Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing policies are followed, and legal and licensing compliance is maintained.
* Keep team members informed about business updates to meet operational and sales objectives.
* Manage risks related to fraud, cash, and stock loss; maximize revenue through retail and promotional initiatives.
ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES & EXPERIENCE
* Essential: Flexibility regarding location, good organizational and time management skills, numeracy and literacy, strong communication, customer-facing experience, ability to work independently and in a team.
* Desirable: Full UK driving license, knowledge of film industry, IT literacy (Microsoft Office, industry-specific software).
