We are seeking a highly experienced Projects Director to lead the delivery of a major £150m infrastructure project in Winchester, as part of a long-term joint venture framework.
The Role
Reporting to the Programme Director, you will oversee the end-to-end execution of the project—ensuring it is delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams and complex construction programmes.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct and coordinate all phases of project delivery
* Ensure safety, quality, and environmental standards are consistently met
* Manage stakeholder relationships, including JV partners, suppliers, and the client
* Lead planning, forecasting, and risk management processes
* Oversee commercial and contractual aspects, including NEC contracts
* Champion project governance and continuous improvement
About You
* Extensive experience in managing large-scale, multi-disciplinary construction projects (ideally water industry)
* Degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline
* Project Management Qualification (e.g. APM PMQ)
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Proven ability to drive performance in complex environments
Desirable
* Chartered professional status
* NEC Project Manager Accreditation
* Experience in water/wastewater infrastructure
