We are looking for a PR & Social Media Assistant to support the delivery of PR and social media campaigns and work in collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues to align our communications to create a pipeline of content, as well as measuring and evaluating the success of campaigns and activity.

You will be accountable for:
1. Working closely with the wider PR and Social team to develop and deliver PR and social media content plans.
2. Keeping up to date with key events, national days, media issues and retail news.
3. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gather updates for PR stories and social media content, ensure accuracy of information and to gather approvals.
4. Notifying teams of media enquiries via the PR inbox, circulating urgent requests.
5. Researching news releases and developing PR and social media content.
6. Supporting in creating briefs for the in-house studio team and lead on small content projects.
7. Assisting with the awards strategy; keeping the calendar updated, arranging briefs, submitting entries, managing ceremony requirements and communicating wins internally.
8. Assisting on our charity partnership to deliver initiatives.
9. Supporting the PR & Social Media Manager in maintaining updates to the KPI dashboard.
10. Providing administrative duties, collating press clippings and social media content for reporting purposes, and updating the website news pages.
To be successful in this role we are looking for experience and skills including...
11. Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience
12. Proficiency in all Microsoft office products – Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc
13. Previous experience in a PR or social media role
14. A passion for communications, PR and social-first campaigns
15. Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills
16. Excellent written and spoken English language.
17. Excellent planning and organisational skills
18. Experience in a communications-related role
19. Experience in a large, complex organisation.
20. Experience of working cross-functionally and working to tight deadlines.
