Job Description
Aberdeenshire Council is seeking an experienced and qualified Quantity Surveying Manager to lead the Quantity Surveying section within the Property and Facilities Management Service. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic environment on diverse projects with varying monetary values.
The responsibilities include managing the commissioning, delivery, and financial aspects of construction projects, as well as overseeing capital construction budgets within Housing and Non-Housing capital plans. The post holder will contribute to the management of the Property and Facilities Management Service and demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and Aberdeenshire Council.

Requirements
This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent three or more months outside the UK in the last five years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The successful candidate's appointment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
The post requires at least one reference, which must be from your current or most recent employer.
Applicants will need to attend an assessment centre and interview as part of the selection process. These may be scheduled on different dates, which will be confirmed in due course.
