Our client is seeking a dedicated Hygienist to maintain impeccable hygiene standards in their food processing facility.
Role Purpose:
As a Hygienist, you will ensure that all production areas, equipment, and processes meet top-notch hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards. Your work will protect product quality, prevent contamination, and support compliance with regulatory and internal food safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of production environments to ensure compliance with sanitation protocols.
- Implement and oversee written sanitation procedures aligned.
- Monitor cleanliness of floors, equipment, and food-contact surfaces to minimise contamination risks
- Ensure operations meet food safety legislation and hygiene standards.
- Identify potential hazards (microbial, physical, chemical) and take corrective actions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and hygiene performance metrics.
- Verify that machinery and equipment are designed for efficient cleaning.
- Ensure sanitation materials and chemicals are used correctly.
- Support development of hygiene programmes to improve sanitation processes.
- Participate in audits and corrective action programmes for compliance.
