Reports to: Nursery Manager & Room Manager / Senior Nursery Practitioner About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate early years professional who is committed to providing high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework. The successful candidate will take shared responsibility for the welfare, learning and development of a designated group of children, working with creativity and initiative to foster a nurturing environment that supports every childs all-round development. Key Responsibilities Implement nursery policies and procedures to ensure EYFS welfare requirements are consistently met. Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS. Contribute to planning, observation, assessment, recording and reporting processes. Act as a Key Person for a designated group of children, building strong and supportive relationships. Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to support childrens development. Maintain high standards of safety, security, hygiene, cleanliness and organisation across the nursery. Ensure excellent hygiene practices in bathroom, nappy changing, food preparation and service areas. Take shared responsibility for the care, maintenance and security of equipment and resources. Participate in performance management reviews and engage in ongoing professional development. Attend out-of-hours meetings and promotional events as required. Support the smooth running of the nursery, including staying beyond scheduled hours if parents are late collecting. Uphold a positive, professional and respectful approach towards children, parents and colleagues at all times. The Ideal Candidate Holds a relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) Has a sound understanding of the EYFS Statutory Framework. Is passionate about supporting childrens learning and development. Demonstrates flexibility, reliability and a positive attitude. Works well as part of a team and uses initiative confidently. Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
