We are looking for a Groundworks Assistant to join the Auger Team, covering Plymouth.

Working arrangements
* Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Mon-Fri; no on-call work
* Door-to-door pay including driving time
* Go straight to the job from home (no depot/yarda required)
* Limited overnight stays with bonuses/annual leave for more than 3 overnights per quarter

What you will provide
* All training and support to become a qualified Engineer
* Your own fully equipped vehicle (not shared)
* Uniform and PPE, mobile phone and tablet
* Fuel and trade cards; local storage sites and skips
* Dedicated Field Operations Team for on-site challenges and equipment needs
Role responsibilities
* Assist experienced Engineers with repairs, investigations, excavations and reinstatement works
* Collaborate with other engineers and learn all aspects of engineering roles at Auger
* Specialise after a year and aim to become a junior engineer
* Communicate proactively with the Field Operations Team at HQ
Ideal candidate
* No prior experience required—we provide full training
* Some experience in groundworks is preferable
* Customer-focused, solutions-oriented, takes pride in quality work
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and owns their work
* Seeking a stable, long-term career
* Clear DBS and a driving licence
