Role Overview:

Our Procurement Administrator plays a pivotal role in ensuring gas engineers have timely access to the necessary parts and materials for installations, maintenance, and repairs. This position involves sourcing, ordering, and coordinating the delivery of components, collaborating closely with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify and procure parts and materials required by gas engineers, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and project timelines
* Monitor stock levels of essential parts and materials, initiating replenishment orders as needed to prevent shortages
* Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently, monitoring order statuses to ensure timely fulfillment
* Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and reliable delivery schedules.
* Liaise with suppliers to address quality issues, negotiate terms, and evaluate performance
* Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any discrepancies or delays in orders
* Work closely with gas engineers to understand their material needs and provide timely updates on order statuses.
* Maintain an up-to-date database of approved suppliers and their offerings
* Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and integrity

Skills & Experience

* Proven experience in a procurement, purchasing, or inventory management role, ideally within the maintenance or industrial sector
* Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier negotiations, and inventory control
* Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with suppliers and internal teams
* Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Familiarity with maintenance, repair, and operational (MRO) supplies is advantageous
