About the role
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Petrol Filling Stations Kiosk and Tobacco team as an Assistant Buyer, reporting to the Buying Manager for Tobacco. This category is an important profit driver for Tesco, and the role requires someone who can manage multiple workstreams with a high level of accuracy.
The position calls for a proactive self starter who can work collaboratively across a range of Tesco teams as well as with our suppliers.
You will be responsible for
Liaising with SRM on critical paths and partnering with Category teams on any range changes.
Working alongside SRM to range lines, load them accurately, and lock ranges as required.
Taking responsibility for pricing, promotions and commercial income.
Collating nominations and confirming details with suppliers, as well as coordinating allocations with Supply Chain.
Developing clear and effective store communication plans in collaboration with Operations teams.
Managing retail price changes and working closely with the Central Pricing Team to ensure accuracy.
Leading the management and forecasting of supplier commercial income, ensuring accuracy and visibility at all times.
Maintaining category sheets and owning weekly category reporting.
You will need
Previous experience in data analysis and strong numerical skills.
Proficient in MS Excel, with working knowledge of Tesco supplier management systems such as My Product Cost, Range, Price, Induct and Deals.
Experience in a buying administration role or a similar function is desirable, though not essential.
