Working hours: Part‑time minimum 4 hrs per month, variable hours.
Loughborough Town Hall is a multi‑purpose reception house theatre, art gallery and venue located in the heart of Charnwood, Leicestershire. It welcomes over 100,000 people annually, hosting more than 250 performances and events each year, including an award‑winning annual pantomime and a range of nationally acclaimed acts across comedy, drama, musical theatre and more. The venue recently received the Best Entertainment Venue award at the Leicestershire Tourism Awards 2023.
Responsibilities
You will be part of the Technical team, acting as the welcoming face for touring shows and users, ensuring excellent customer service throughout their visit. On any given day you may rig lighting and sound equipment, build scenery, or maintain the stage and theatre space.
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in technical theatre, although full training will be provided. Candidates must be over 18 years old as of 30th June 2026, due to the role requiring the use of power tools and work at heights. A friendly and approachable manner, excellent communication skills, strong problem‑solving ability, and the capacity to multi‑task in a busy environment are essential. Flexibility across a busy programme of shows and events, including evenings and weekends, is required.
