Role Summary: We are seeking a skilled QA Rework Technician to join our Rework Department. This role involves high-quality rework, repair, and modification of electronic assemblies in line with IPC standards and internal quality requirements. The successful candidate will have proven experience in electronics fault diagnosis, soldering (through-hole and SMT), component replacement, and technical repair documentation. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose faults in electronic assemblies and PCBs using manual and automated test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analysers). Perform precision soldering and rework to IPC-A-610 and IPC-7711/7721 standards. Safely remove and replace components using hot air, vacuum desoldering, and other rework tools. Investigate and repair failed production units, prioritising critical repairs to minimise downtime. Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective/preventive action initiatives. Maintain accurate repair records and ensure compliance with ESD and safety protocols. Operate and maintain repair equipment and work areas to a high standard. Ideally you will have the following skills: Strong computer literacy, with the ability to use Microsoft Excel for data organisation, Word for document creation, and PowerPoint for presentation development. K nowledge of IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-7711/7721). Proficiency in SMT and through-hole soldering/rework. Skilled in electronics fault-finding and repair. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and test equipment. Ability to interpret schematics and technical instructions. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Demonstrate a strong understanding of electronics schematics to interpret and follow assembly instructions. A genuine interest in electronics, with curiosity about how systems and components work, would be advantageous for ongoing skills development and problem-solving in this role.
