Location: LS14 (on-site)
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am-3:30am
Pay: £16.00–£18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
About the Role
We are looking for a motivated IT Technician to provide day-to-day technical support within a busy secondary school. You'll work closely with staff, students, and the wider IT team to keep systems running smoothly and ensure technology enhances teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide front-line IT support for staff and students, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
* Manage user accounts, emails, printing, and school systems (e.g. SIMS).
* Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure including servers, switches, wireless, and security systems.
* Support with AV/IT setup for lessons, assemblies, and events.
* Repair, configure, and upgrade hardware and software as required.
* Manage IT helpdesk tickets and escalate when needed.
* Assist with stock control, procurement, and disposal of old equipment.
* Support and train staff and students in the use of IT systems.
* Contribute to backup, recovery, and data security processes.
* Work flexibly to support school needs, occasionally outside normal hours.
What We're Looking For
* Experience providing IT support, ideally in a school or education environment.
* Strong knowledge of Windows, networking, and common school systems.
* Ability to prioritise, solve problems, and communicate clearly with users.
* A proactive, reliable, and supportive team player.
