Job Description
Venator is currently recruiting for an I&E Technician to join the ICON Maintenance team at the Greatham site.
The primary responsibility of the I&E Technician is to maintain plant instrumentation and electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with the weekly maintenance plan and responding to injected work as directed by the MEI FLM.
Job Responsibilities include:
* Complete planned and emergent work according to the site I&E standards and report any nonconformances that could affect EHSQ standards or equipment reliability.
* Coordinate maintenance activities by following Safe Systems of Work, including risk assessments, permits to work, and HTMP8116 procedures.
* Perform functional and evaluation tests on specialized instrument and electrical systems, ensuring adherence to Quality Assurance procedures and keeping records up to date.
* Utilize IT systems such as Mod 300, Delta V, etc., for fault diagnosis and plant interaction.
* Accurately document information via electronic logs, input data into SAP, and conduct detailed handovers.
* Test and commission new or modified instrument/electrical systems as required.
* Respond effectively to planned and emergent I/E issues, communicating with the MEI FLM as needed.
* Identify and suggest improvements to enhance plant stability, uptime, and quality, using problem-solving skills including root cause analysis.
* Demonstrate behaviors that promote a positive, values-based culture.
* Provide flexible support for other technicians when necessary.
Candidate Requirements:
Job-related experience, Skills, and Knowledge:
* NVQ Level 3 in Instrumentation Engineering.
* Preferably educated to HNC level or equivalent, with completion of an instrumentation apprenticeship.
