Monitoring Technician - Northeast / Northwest (Must be willing to travel)
Are you interested in Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Monitoring Technician, as well as playing a vital role in helping our business succeed. We are expanding our Environment & Safety Division and seek a dedicated Monitoring Technician to join our team and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride. You will work both as part of a team and independently, performing a range of tests with varying locations and projects.
Responsibilities
* Trade effluent sampling
* Water sampling and water compliance monitoring
* Daily travel to client sites
* Report writing and customer liaison
* Water tank disinfections
* Work on safety-critical client sites
* Assist with lab analysis as required
Qualifications
* Must be able to follow written procedures and instructions
* Hold a Full UK driving licence and willing to travel
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with clients when faults have been identified
* Produce detailed site observations to prepare technical reports based on current guidelines, legislation and best practice
* Flexible working with a positive attitude
* Ability to work safely, avoiding hazards to themselves, colleagues and clients

Our Environmental Team is made up of specialists operating within different areas of expertise. We cover Environmental Monitoring and Consultancy, supported by specialist laboratories. Services range from on-site monitoring and sample collection for local businesses to large Government contracts, consultancy on large contaminated land projects, and on-site works for dust, noise, and local exhaust emissions. We consult, monitor and test for our clients, supporting all their needs in one place with our highly trained employees.
