TheCorporate Governance and Risk Manager will oversee compliance, risk governance,Health and Safety and safety risk management across Greater PeterboroughNetwork and its services. You will lead the risk management function, ensuringa robust risk register system, providing advice, and leading the team on complianceto meet regulatory and commissioner standards.

Inthis role, you will be responsible for overall governance and the provision ofa first-class safety risk management service across GPN. You will provideexpert advice and support on risk and compliance across all of our services,promoting a positive risk management culture and maintaining corporate and servicearea risk registers. You will liaisewith our senior management team, clinical and quality safety lead, as well asservice managers across GPN, ensuring that we are compliant with regulatory andcommissioner requirements, and that our guidelines and policies are in date andsupport this position

Main duties of the job

Main Duties:

Reportingto the Chief Executive Officer, your responsibilities will include:

Leadand maintain GPN's risk management systems, ensuring alignment with internal,local, and corporate risk registers

Ensurerisk management principles are integrated into GPN policies and strategies

Overseecompliance with national guidelines and manage the reporting of the GPN's compliancestatus

This role will lead on delivering within the following keyaccountabilities;

Board Secretariat/ Secretariat of Board Sub-Committees

Indemnity and Insurance

Office Management

Health and Safety including fire marshals and risk assessments

AGM and Annual Report

Risk Management and Board Assurance Framework

Managing both internal and external relationships

Job responsibilities

This role is key to the delivery of both Governance and risk within the Federation. You will be required to leadthe clinical guidelines and policy management, including organising policyreviews and meetings

You will also be required to provideadvice and support to colleagues on all matters of risk, governance andcompliance

The key components of the role are;

Board Secretariat/ Secretariatof Board Sub-Committees

* Ensuring board reporting
* Aligning between board and executive management
* Maintaining membership lists
* Elaborating membership governance model
* Developing membership programs

Indemnityand Insurance

* Actas lead specialist ensuring both GPN and staff are covered by the correctIndemnity and Insurance
* Ensureall indemnity logs are kept up to date
* Ensurethe correct level of cover is maintained within our changing workforce andservices

OfficeManagement

* Overseeadherence to office policies and procedures
* Analyseand monitor internal processes
* Maintaina safe, secure, and pleasant work environment
* Ensureoffice efficiency is maintained
* Managerelationships with contractors, service providers, and landlord
* Ensuresecurity, integrity, and confidentiality of data

Healthand Safety including fire marshals and risk assessments

* Ensureall Health and Safety and Fire Policies are up to date and GPN are fullycompliant with legislation
* Leadon Health and Safety and Fire operating processes, maintaining the day-to-dayoperation
* Documentationof all Health and Safety tasks is completed and review them regularly
* Liaisewith senior managers, regularly reviewing the health and safety systems, evenif day-to-day tasks are handled by others
* Assignclear accountabilities and responsibilities, making sure health and safetytasks and fire, risk assessments and equipment checks, are assigned to theright people
* Ensuremanagers understand their responsibilities for the overall safety of theworkplace and deliver full compliance
* Regularlyaudit health and safety procedures to ensure they meet internal and legalstandards. This helps spot gaps between responsibility and accountabilitybefore problems arise
* CommunicateClearly, making sure everyone, from senior managers to workers, knows theirrole in maintaining safety. Communication ensures that responsibilities areunderstood and that risks are reported quickly

AGMand Annual Report

* Buildrelationships and engagement between stakeholders and the organization
* Aidin the preparation of Provide a clear and comprehensive overview of financialand operational results
* Workalongside the Projects team to ensure effective processes are in place andincorporate the following into reporting activities and reporting
* oLeadershipand governance
* oStrategicand operational updates
* oStakeholderengagement and voting
* Leadthe clinical guidelines and policy management, including organising policyreviews and meetings
* Ensuremanagers understand their responsibilities within policies and standardoperating procedures across GPN and deliver full compliance
* Regularlyaudit policies and standard operating procedures to ensure they meet internaland legal standards, root causing concerns as they arise
* Communicateclearly, making sure everyone, from senior managers to workers understandrenewal dates and include all relevant statute changes

RiskManagement and Board Assurance Framework

* Actas the lead specialist for risk management and maintain the day-to-dayoperation of the risk systems to reflect the risk profile of GPN
* EnsureGPN has a fully functioning risk register operating at a corporate level
* Ensurerisk registers and local risk management practices are aligned with GPNstrategies. Deliver requirements around applying risk appetite and scoring whenupdating risk registers
* Ensureprinciples of risk management are embedded in GPN strategies and policies
* Constructand deliver risk management training across GPN to an agreed training needsanalysis to ensure that risk management systems are understood and implementedeffectively
* Ensurecost effective service management, focusing on ways to reduce financial costs, andimprove service quality
* Workas the lead specialist to ensure the provision of high quality, comprehensiveand coordinated risk governance across GPN
* Evaluaterisk management including clinical and reputational issues arising from anyinvestigation and report these to the Chief Executive Officer
* Provideadvice and support to all colleagues on risk management

Compliance

* OverseeGPN-wide compliance with national guidelines including NICE and reporting ofthe GPNs position in relation to this
* Leadon the dissemination ensuring GPN-wide compliance with these
* Overseeand co-ordinate the production of reports for committees and groups, includingquality checking the work of our teams and presenting these reports at therelevant forum
* Maintainoversight of GPN clinical guidelines and policies, including facilitation ofthe Policies. Work with key stakeholders to ensure documents are up to date,relevant, and have been approved in line with policy

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Educated to Master's degree level or equivalent, with experience in clinical governance.
* Previous Senior Management Position held within either a risk or compliance role
* Evidence of continuing professional and personal development
* Leadership, management or risk qualification
