Our client, a rapidly expanding global hedge fund, are looking to make a newly created Global Market Data Manager hire. The hire can be based in the firm’s London or Dubai office.
The new hire will lead the build out of the firm’s market data function globally, as they continue to expand across geographies and add new investment teams to the fund platform.
The firm are looking to develop, re-vamp and upgrade their market data function completely. The hire will take ownership of overall commercial strategy and key data vendor relationships from day one whilst also taking responsibility for driving operational excellence as the function develops and matures. The hire will take ownership of the design and execution of data strategy, working to audit all existing vendor relationships and working directly with investment teams globally to understand and execute on sourcing strategy and roadmaps for the medium term.
The hire will receive support from internal technology, risk, legal and compliance teams from day one but will also be given the autonomy to build out the market data team in line with the firm’s specific needs and how you envision the growth of the function. You will work to drive continuous improvements across the platform and take ownership of managing spend, process automation and setting the direction for a key function at an industry leading firm.
