JOB DESCRIPTION
POST TITLE: Lecturer - PlumbingLOCATION: Newbury, BerkshireHOURS: 37 hours per weekCONTRACT: Full Time, PermanentSALARY: £33,656 - £39,034 per annum (plus potential £3,000 market premium)
JOB PURPOSE: To deliver high-quality teaching and training across full-time, adult and apprenticeship Plumbing programmes, ensuring learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in the industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Deliver engaging and effective teaching across 16-19, adult and apprenticeship programmes
* Plan and deliver lessons covering:
o Hot and cold water systems
o Central heating systems
o Sanitation and drainage
o Health and safety
o Renewable technologies
* Assess learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
* Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement
* Support learners to achieve their qualifications and progress into employment
* Contribute to curriculum development to ensure content remains industry relevant
* Support students with varying abilities and learning needs
* Participate in team meetings, CPD and college activities
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential:
* Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or Domestic Heating
* Relevant industry experience in Plumbing
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Willingness to work towards a teaching qualification
Desirable:
* Teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent)
* Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications
* Experience delivering in Further Education or Apprenticeships
