Grant Thornton is expanding its team to support public sector organizations with accounting, financial reporting, and finance function challenges. We are seeking a Manager to join our growing team, offering opportunities to develop and support public sector organizations through their financial challenges.

Our Public Sector Financial Reporting and Accounting Support (FRAS) team provides support to non-audit clients across accounting, financial reporting, and finance functions. Our UK audit practice comprises over 2300 professionals across 24 locations, with a strong focus on wellbeing, resource, and quality. Our Public Sector Audit team works with NHS Trusts, Local Authorities, and other public bodies, providing assurance and advisory services.

Role Overview
As a Manager in our public sector financial reporting and accounting support team, you will:
* Manage the delivery of non-audit engagements, ensuring quality standards
* Work with clients on complex technical issues, including accounting standards and financial reporting
* Participate in team responsibilities, training, and new project initiatives
* Contribute to business development and service innovation
* Oversee team members and project finances
* Handle client onboarding and maintain strong relationships
* Drive personal and business growth
Qualifications and Experience
* Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ICAS, CA, ACCA, CIPFA)
* Post-qualification experience in providing services to Local Authorities and Health bodies or within local government/health finance
* Strong knowledge of IFRS standards and public sector financial reporting
* Project management and relationship-building skills
* Business development and coaching experience (beneficial)
