Assistant Site Manager – Fixed Term (2 Years)
Haddington, East Lothian
Up to £45,700 + Car Allowance + Benefits
41.5 hours per week
We’re working with a well-established and respected housebuilder who are looking to add an Assistant Site Manager to their team on a 2-year fixed term contract for an exciting residential development based in Haddington.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently “on the tools” (e.g., experienced Joiners, Bricklayers, etc.) who is looking to make the transition into site management. You’ll be supported by a strong team and gain invaluable experience managing the build process on a live site, including quality control, health and safety, and subcontractor coordination.
What You’ll Be Doing:

* Supporting the Site Manager in the day-to-day operations of a busy residential site
* Assisting with coordinating trades and subcontractors
* Ensuring health & safety standards are upheld
* Carrying out quality checks and snagging
* Helping drive build programme targets while maintaining high standard

* Salary: Up to £45,700
* Hours: 41.5 hours per week
* Holidays: 34 days (inclusive of bank holidays)
* Car Allowance: £250/month

Ideal Candidate:
\n
* Previous experience in a trade discipline and ready to move into a management role
* Strong understanding of the housebuilding process
* Ability to communicate well with trades, suppliers, and the public
* Based in or around East Lothian, with easy access to Haddington
* SMSTS, SSSTS or similar would be advantageous (but not essential – training can be provided)
