Accounts Receivable Specialist Location: Surrey (near Guildford) Salary: £28,000-£32,000 per annum
Robert Half are currently recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a well-established and growing organisation based near Guildford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience-particularly in credit control and cash allocation-who is looking to take ownership of the AR function within a supportive and collaborative finance team.
You'll work closely with the wider finance and operational teams to ensure accurate and timely billing, payment allocation, and reporting, playing a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow and supporting overall business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the Accounts Receivable inbox and respond to billing and payment queries promptly.
Raise and process sales invoices and credit notes accurately.
Allocate customer payments and perform regular account reconciliations.
Follow up on overdue balances and support with credit management processes.
Run and reconcile aged debt reports at month-end.
Assist with month-end close procedures and audit queries.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in an Accounts Receivable or Credit Control role.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Confident communicator with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience using accounting or ERP systems (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or similar).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
