Job overview
Kingston Private Health is an adult in-patient hospital ward within Kingston Hospital.
We are looking for a full-time housekeeper to support the nursing staff.
The housekeeper will be responsible for keeping the ward and clinic rooms neat, tidy, uncluttered, well presented and clean.
The role involves maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients ensuring the daily stock of clinical supplies and responsibility for equipment cleaning and maintenance
Main duties of the job
1. The housekeeper will work with the Staff in the unit ensuring that all visitors are welcomed and that excellence in customer care and front of house services are provided.
2. This role will support and supplement those of the nursing staff and does not replace or supplement domestic services but enhances the patient experience overall.
3. The post holder will work as an integral part of the unit team, being responsible for ensuring the delivery of a range of activities to support the clinical team in delivering care, including keeping the unit neat, tidy, uncluttered and well presented, the daily stock of clinical supplies and for equipment cleaning and maintenance.
4. They will be responsible for maintaining a safe and comfortable ward environment and will work flexibly being prepared to undertake those
non-nursing duties designated by the Ward Sister/Nurse in Charge/ Staff nurses.
5. The post holder will be required to undertake a range of procedures and practices which they have been trained and assessed as competent.
