Job title: Principal Engineer - Product Safety

What you'll be doing:
1. Responsible for leading a small team developing a functional Safety Case
2. Managing the production of a functional Safety Case to a defined schedule, reporting to a Safety Engineering Manager
3. Undertaking complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis
4. Producing written function safety justifications
5. Liaising with a wide range of stakeholders both external and internal to the business, typically System Engineers, Human Factors Subject Matter Experts (SME) etc
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
6. STEM Degree or relevant experience
7. Leading a small team
8. Delivering functional Safety Cases
9. Complex safety analysis and justification
Desirable:
10. Previous submarine experience
11. Particularly Vehicle Control
12. Complex Control Systems
