Registered Service Manager
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Salary: £38,000 – £40,000 per annum
We are working with a highly regarded care provider who is seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Service Manager to lead their supported living service in Ipswich. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on making a real difference and has the drive to lead and inspire a dedicated team.
The Service
This supported living service is a welcoming and vibrant home for individuals who wish to live independently while enjoying an active social life. From themed garden parties and BBQs to dinners, trips into town, and impromptu evenings of music and dancing, there’s a strong community spirit that makes this service truly special.
The Role
As Service Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and smooth running of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained. You will be key in empowering both your team and the individuals supported within the service to achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Enabling the people supported to lead fulfilling, independent lives.
* Leading, developing, and motivating your team to ensure their well-being and professional growth.
* Managing the service efficiently, balancing financial performance with a strong ethos of quality care.
* Ensuring compliance with CQC requirements and other regulatory obligations.
* Promoting a culture of continuous improvement through effective processes, reporting, and quality assurance.
* Maintaining accurate management information to maximise quality and compliance.
This role requires registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
About You
To succeed in this role, you will:
* Have significant experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and/or complex behaviours.
* Be an experienced Service Manager, ideally with a background in supported living or residential services.
* Hold at least a Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (with opportunities for further development to Level 4/5).
* Bring strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Be flexible, confident, and committed to working in a person-centred way.
