To further elevate and enhance our operations, we are seeking an accomplished Membership Manager to contribute and deliver on the club’s success. ROLE OVERVIEW: The Membership Manager will work in collaboration with the Membership Director, responsible for overseeing the recruitment, retention, and overall management of members. The role includes managing the membership application process, fostering relationships with current members and ensuring that the club’s membership base is actively engaged and aligned with the club’s values and exclusive standards. The Membership Manager will also play a key role in shaping the overall member experience, ensuring that members' needs are met while maintaining the club’s high standards of service and exclusivity. This is a dynamic role that requires exceptional relationship-building skills, a keen understanding of high-net-worth individuals and the ability to manage membership programs that support the club’s business objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the recruitment of new members by developing and executing strategies to attract high-net-worth individuals who align with the club's values and community. Review and process new membership applications, ensuring that candidates meet the club’s criteria. Conduct membership interviews and meet prospective members to understand their expectations and motivations for joining. Work closely with the marketing team to ensure membership campaigns and events are aligned with target member demographics. Manage the onboarding process for new members, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and a smooth transition into the club community. Build and maintain strong, personalised relationships with current members, ensuring their satisfaction and continued engagement with the club. Regularly check in with members to gather feedback, ensure their needs are met, and identify opportunities for improving their experience. Handle member inquiries, concerns or complaints in a professional, timely and confidential manner, ensuring that all issues are addressed appropriately. Ensure that members are made aware of upcoming events and club developments through newsletters, personalised communications or private invitations. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all dealings with members, respecting their privacy and ensuring that all interactions reflect the club’s exclusive atmosphere. Maintain an up-to-date membership database, ensuring all details are accurate and easily accessible. Ensure all member records (contact details, membership status, special requests, preferences) are updated in the club’s CRM system. Develop personalised communications for renewals, including reminder letters or phone calls. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a membership department within a private members’ club. Proven ability to recruit, manage and retain high-net-worth members. Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with high- profile individuals and understand their unique needs. Strong customer service orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional, personalised experiences. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and engage with members at all levels. Comfortable with public speaking and representing the club at events, member gatherings and other interactions. Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency in using CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite and membership management tools. High level of discretion and professionalism, with an ability to handle sensitive information and high-profile individuals in a confidential manner. Ability to resolve member issues effectively, maintaining a calm and solution-oriented approach while upholding the club’s reputation. Meticulous attention to detail when managing member records, event coordination and communication to ensure accuracy and consistency. A welcoming and approachable demeanour, able to engage with a diverse range of members while maintaining professionalism.
