General Operative - Irlam People Solutions are currently recruiting for a General Operative to join our well-established client based in Irlam. This position would suit an applicant looking for a role as a Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative or Assembly Operative. Shifts: • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30 (early finish Friday) • Must be able to start at 06:00 if required during busy periods. You will be working as a team to complete job orders on-time and within customer specifications by building units as requested. You will be picking and packing small products, scanning, labelling. Other general warehouse duties as and when required. Moving materials, loading and unloading goods Using hand tools and cutting equipment as required Carrying out basic assembly and preparation tasks Completing stock checks and basic documentation Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe work area Working closely with colleagues across manufacturing and warehouse teams Essential Skills: To be successful as a General Operative, you will need: Experience within manufacturing and/or warehousing Confident using hand tools and related equipment Reliable, hardworking, and a strong team player Able to follow instructions and work safely Desirable Experience: Experience as a General Operative, Production Operative, Manufacturing Operative or Assembly Operative Training: • Full industry-related training with ongoing development support People Solutions do not charge candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment process
