Job Summary
Are you ready to take the next step in your manufacturing career? We’re offering an exciting opportunity for suitably qualified people to join our Point of Use Team here in our thriving East Cowes facilities.
The Point of Use Team play a critical role in supporting the manufacturing process, with touchpoints across all of our aerospace programmes. Dependent upon your qualifications and experience, as a Point of Use Operator you could be responsible for a number of different responsibilities, including machining and cutting materials (such as honeycomb, foam, and Tufnol); producing tooling and wood machining; composite bonding and processing using autoclaves, presses, and ovens; and cutting composite plies/laminates using Desitech and Lectra machines.
Job Qualifications
In order to meet the minimum requirements for these opportunities, you will need to have either one of the following qualifications:
1. Completion of a time-served apprenticeship (City & Guilds or NVQ) in carpentry, or a similar woodworking subject;
2. A GKN approved NVQ level 3 in Composite Manufacturing
You will also need to be able to demonstrate flexibility, reliability, good communication skills, and a focus on working to extremely high levels of quality.
