We have an exciting opportunity for a Design and Artwork executive to join our vibrant marketing department here at the MERKUR Head office. Working both independently and with our external creative agencies, you will support on creating engaging content across a variety of channels to drive business growth. You will be flexing your skills across print, digital, social and CRM and pushing your creativity to the max. Delivering marketing campaign materials, as well as supporting with other ad-hoc design projects as needed. Position: Design and Artwork Executive Salary: £25,000-35,000 (DOE) Location: Head office - Milton Keynes (Hybrid) The role will suit a newly qualified or early career professional and as this is a new role within the business, you will help to shape the longer-term view of the role within the framework of our marketing team and busy dynamic industry. About you: We are looking for a person with a passion for design and an ability to work both independently and alongside our wider agency teams Experience in creative art working In depth knowledge of Adobe Creative suite apps (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) Confidence using the latest desktop publishing (DTP) software Strong proofreading ability, layout skills and typography The ability to create visual concepts Able to communicate confidently and clearly with a variety of stakeholders An understanding of production techniques, print processes, online asset specifications and project sign off Highly organised, with the ability to work on multiple projects at once Flexible and able to prioritise a changing to-do list Desirable skills Knowledge of basic HTML & CSS Proficient in video skills (After effects / Premier Pro) Benefits: 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays) Work Laptop (Mac) and Phone Contributory Pension Scheme Health care plan and Life Assurance Discounts with high street retailers and restaurants through our benefits portal Employee assistance programme Duties include but not limited to: The ability to fulfil a brief from concept to execution is paramount and you will use your skills to ensure that all key stakeholders needs are captured and understood You will become involved in the development of our ‘Brand ID’ and put your creative stamp on our brand and campaign collateral Create awareness of and develop the brands within the Group and ensure the team follows the clear objectives around brand recognition Build and implement a robust ‘test & learn’ approach to process developments. Provide periodic strategic updates and reviews and recommendations of company activity / campaigns. Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external. Collaborate with our two external creative agencies. Monitor and report on relevant competitor activity to ensure that we can take both reactive and proactive actions. Work with the team to support on content for Internal communications To attend periodic department meetings on agreed dates To respond positively, promptly and appropriately to all internal and external customer requests.
