Your New Role
As Recruitment Officer, you’ll be at the heart of a busy HR department, supporting the full recruitment lifecycle and onboarding process.
You’ll be a visible and operational presence, working closely with hiring managers to deliver a high-quality, proactive recruitment service.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
1. Managing the end-to-end recruitment processes, from job adverts to appointment.
2. Use e-recruitment systems to handle applications, candidatemunications, and status updates.
3. Coordinate interview logistics, including room bookings, virtual interviews, and travel arrangements.
4. Draft and issue offer letters, conduct right-to-work checks, and liaise with Occupational Health.
5. Maintain accurate personnel records and ensurepliance with GDPR and Home Office regulations.
6. Support onboarding and induction processes for new starters, students, and visitors.
7. Produce recruitment-related reports and statistics and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
8. Collaborate with HR colleagues and act as a point of contact for recruitment queries.
9. Represent HR on interview panels and advise on best practices.
What You’ll Need:
10. Degree in HR, Recruitment, or a business-related subject (or equivalent experience), or CIPD Level 5.
11. Proven experience in recruitment, ideally in-house, with knowledge of UK immigration and right-to-work checks.
12. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently.
13. Excellentmunication and interpersonal skills.
14. High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
15. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with recruitment systems.
16. A proactive, customer-focused approach and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
17. Experience of working within an academic environment or a not-for-profit organisation (desirable).
