🔹 Key Responsibilities
*
Preparation of management accounts and funding requirements for key clients
*
Actuals vs budget variance analysis in collaboration with budget holders
*
Working closely with the operations department to deliver vessel commentary to clients
*
Liaising directly with clients to resolve financial queries
*
Full general ledger oversight and management for assigned vessels
*
Month-end balance sheet reconciliations
*
Resolving balances with internal stakeholders
*
Creating and processing bank payments, and completing bank reconciliations
*
Maintenance of open purchase orders and accruals
*
Ad hoc duties as required by clients and management
*
Other relevant tasks appropriate to the position
🔹 Candidate Requirements
Essential:
*
Experience in a finance function, handling general ledger transactions
*
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines with strong time management skills
*
High level of attention to detail
*
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
*
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
*
Positive, can-do attitude with flexibility and commitment
*
Competent user of Microsoft Excel
*
Experience with accounting and financial reporting software
*
Proven experience preparing accounts to trial balance
Desirable:
*
Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS)
*
Experience in management accounting and/or client reporting
*
A mindset geared toward process improvement
*
Strong desire to grow within the role and team
