The opportunity:
We are looking for a Paralegal to join our highly-regarded Intellectual Property team at Baker McKenzie, Belfast. The successful applicant will support the Firm's Intellectual Property practice, handling IP prosecution, maintenance, and transactional work in a deadline-driven environment. You will work on international IP portfolios, requiring a global mindset and effective coordination with teams worldwide. The role involves working with diverse professionals, including technology teams, paralegals, lawyers, and partners, across different cultures.

Main responsibilities:
1. Technical: Managing trade mark formalities, supporting global IP M&A activities, conducting IP asset due diligence, supporting anti-counterfeiting programs, and performing trade mark searches and watching services.
2. Services and process standards: Following procedures, maintaining service quality, managing deadlines, and complying with firm standards.
Essential criteria:
* Relevant undergraduate degree with 2.1 or above preferred.
* Legal background with trade mark/IP experience (preferred).
* Authorization to work in the UK.
Desirable criteria:
* A CITMA qualification (advantage).
Personal & technical skills:
* High attention to detail, strong organization skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently.
* Effective communication skills, ability to handle pressure, and team collaboration skills.
