About the Role

Our buffet restaurants are the heart of the resort, and you’ll play a pivotal role in leading and developing a team that brings unforgettable dining experiences to life. Collaborating closely with the Junior Kitchen Manager, you’ll oversee daily operations in your section, ensuring efficiency, exceptional standards, and full compliance with food safety policies.
As a leader, you’ll maintain a clean and organized workstation, setting the standard for the Commis Chefs you’ll support, train, and mentor. Your guidance will help them grow while keeping the kitchen running smoothly and safely.
This is a full-time, permanent role, offering 35 hours per week across 5 days, including weekends, with pay received fortnightly. Breakfast shifts run from 4am to 12pm, and dinner shifts from 11am to 7:30pm. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of our bustling kitchen.
For those over 18 relocating to the area, live-in accommodation may be available (subject to DBS).
About You
We’re on the lookout for chefs with proven experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen. This role is not suitable for beginners or those without professional kitchen experience.
You are hardworking, reliable, and determined, with a genuine commitment to high standards and a desire to keep improving. You understand the impact that great food and teamwork have on the guest experience, and you bring the energy and enthusiasm to help your team deliver it.
Holding your Level 3 Food Safety qualification, you’ll confidently lead others in a fast-paced environment. You’ll also manage margins, control costs, and maintain excellent hygiene, health, and safety practices.
Our chefs are a vital part of what keeps guests returning to Butlin’s, so we’re looking for someone who is not only skilled but also fun, team-spirited, and passionate about creating memorable experiences for every guest, every time.
Key Responsibilities
As a key member of our team, you’ll help create that extra bit of sparkle for our guests by keeping our resort clean, tidy, and pristine. If you’re ready to go the extra mile for our team and our guests, we’d love to welcome you aboard!
We are looking for candidates who:
* Can clean our main venues and toilets, using electrical and mechanical cleaning equipment (full training will be provided).
* Are comfortable handling chemicals for cleaning (full training will be provided).
* Can assist with external road cleaning, including emptying general waste and recycling bins.
* Are willing to move furniture to accommodate different activities within venues.
* Can clean and disinfect toilets and changing rooms.
Normal working hours:
Evening shift: 5pm - 2am. Please note that due to lone working and the hours required for the role, applicants must be over 18 to apply. Start and finish times may vary depending on the break type.
