We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a Primary setting, working closely with pupils who have a SEND diagnosis. This includes children with medical needs, ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), sensory needs and non-verbal communication profiles. Many of the pupils will be working to below age related expectations, and have a play and sensory-based curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with diverse SEND needs
* Implement tailored learning strategies and communication methods
* Support with personal care or medical routines where required
* Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
* Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
* Promote independence, engagement, and emotional wellbeing

* Experience working with children with SEND
* A patient, calm, and creative approach to supporting young learners
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
* A passion for helping children reach their full potential
* Reliability, empathy, and enthusiasm
* Willingness to undertake relevant training
