Transport Administrator's - Skelmersdale Salary: £26,000 per annum Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - Days Join a leading logistics operation where your coordination skills and customer service expertise will help keep the wheels turning. We're seeking proactive Transport Administrator's for permanent roles to support the First Line Manager (FLM) in planning and executing cost-effective and compliant transport operations. The Role: Collaborate with the FLM to design efficient and cost-effective transportation routes, considering factors such as delivery schedules, traffic conditions, and fuel consumption. This role ensures execution of the routes planned and provides exceptional service to the Drivers on the road. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the FLM to coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Utilise transportation management systems to track the routes and communicate with drivers and delivery personnel. Adhere to all transportation regulations and safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing enquiries, resolving transportation-related issues, and maintaining positive relationships with the drivers, colleagues and clients. Respond to unforeseen transportation challenges and implement effective solutions to minimise disruptions and maintain high service levels. Collaborate with the Transport Planner to implement eco-friendly practices that align with the company's commitment to environmental sustainability. Skills/Experience/Qualifications: Experience in a Transport department and knowledge of Transport Management Systems is prefered but not essential Experience in a customer facing role / customer service experience would be an advantage Knowledge of Transport Operations & Transport Regulations Successful candidate(s) will be required to undergo a basic Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) Check
