You will be joining a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor based in Birmingham recognised for delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the Midlands. They have a strong pipeline of work, offer excellent opportunities for career progression and, as part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a General Foreman to join their delivery team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in the Solihull area.
Your new role
As General Foreman, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of civil engineering works on site, working closely with the Site Manager and wider project team to coordinate labour, plant and subcontractors.
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising and coordinating daily site activities and workforce
2. Managing direct labour and subcontractors to maintain productivity and quality
3. Ensuring works are delivered in line with drawings, specifications and programme
4. Leading by example on health, safety and environmentalpliance
5. Conducting daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inductions
6. Monitoring progress and reporting issues or delays to site management
7. Supporting site management with planning, logistics and quality assurance.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
8. Proven experience as a Foreman within heavy civils, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects
9. Strong technical knowledge of civils works, including drainage, groundworks and reinforced concrete
10. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage site teams
11. CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS and First Aid
12. Full UK driving licence.
