GSL Education are currently appointing a dedicated RE Teacher to work within schools across Sheffield, supporting learners in the S5 and S9 areas and helping them develop a clear understanding of religion, ethics, and society. As an RE (Religious Education) Teacher, you will inspire curiosity and critical thinking through engaging lessons that foster reflection, open-mindedness, and respect. You’ll guide students in exploring diverse religious traditions and moral perspectives within an inclusive learning environment. Prime Responsibilities: Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that explore religious beliefs, ethics, and philosophical questions. Encourage respectful discussion and thoughtful debate among students. Help learners develop analytical skills and the ability to express informed opinions. Assess and monitor progress, providing clear and constructive feedback. Promote tolerance, understanding, and inclusivity through your work Maintain a calm, respectful, and supportive classroom atmosphere. Requirements: Qualified teacher status (QTS) with relevant subject experience suitable for working as an RE Teacher. Strong subject knowledge and the ability to present sensitive topics clearly and fairly. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. A reflective and open-minded approach to teaching and learning. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A professional understanding of safeguarding and student wellbeing.
