New Business Construction Manager - Leigh on Sea
This particular role is within the Construction Division which comprises Contractors Combined Liability, Contractors All Risks, Excess of Loss, Professional Indemnity, JCT and Non Negligent Liability.
What you will do as a New Business Construction Manager:
1. Manage construction new business department
2. Underwriting of new business risks under a variety of delegated binding authorities
3. Develop and maintain a profitable book of business
4. Create and maintain relationships with brokers, insurers and other business partners
5. Provide support to junior members including referrals
6. Work within personal authority limits
7. Work within parameters of delegated authorities
8. Meet agreed company service levels and standards
9. Work within all legal/regulatory requirement
10. Meet individual target and contribute towards team targets
What we are looking for in a New Business Construction Manager:
11. Ideally CII qualified or working towards
12. Minimum 10 years’ proven underwriting experience in Casualty and Construction lines including Combined Liability, Contractors All Risks and Excess of Loss including focus on larger and more complex cases.
13. Proficient with Microsoft office (Outlook, Excel and Word)
