Overview
Butternut is focused on delivering health and happiness to dogs and their humans. This role is based in our kitchen in Blyth, Doncaster, where Rudie’s Kitchen will operate, packaging and boxing meals for customers across the UK. This is a full-time permanent contract with a rolling average of 41 hours per week on a shift rotation that includes some weekend work. Salary details: base £27,468 plus a 10% shift premium (£30,215).
Responsibilities
* Operate a variety of machines (e.g., case erector, case sealer, PPTs) after full training
* Unpack, pack, load and unload boxes and finished goods; monitor fulfilment lines
* Lead by example and act as a role model for other operators
* Complete general tasks such as waste processing and order packing
* Work to relevant standards and KPIs
* Follow safety procedures and wear protective equipment correctly at all times
* Maintain general facility hygiene; participate in a clean-as-you-go approach
* Be flexible to support production or warehouse duties to assist the wider team
* Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
Qualifications
* Previous machine operative experience in a food fulfilment environment is desirable
* Strong knowledge of heavy-duty and high-speed machinery
* Good understanding of safety methods and hazard regulations
* Working level English (speaking and reading)
* Numerate with good attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a chilled environment and with raw proteins (lamb, pork, turkey, chicken)
