HR Advisor - Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their HR experience in a challenging and rewarding environment. We are looking for a dynamic and pro‑active HR practitioner to join a forward‑thinking innovative HR Team.
The post will be based in Stafford, supporting designated services within the Staffordshire and Stoke on Trent Care Group and the Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin Care Group, requiring travel across this area.
Main responsibilities
* Provide effective human resources advice and guidance across two designated care groups.
* Support line managers with employee relations issues, including sickness absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance, bullying, harassment, and change management.
* Deliver HR services in line with NHS national strategies and Trust policies.
* Participate in investigations, disciplinary hearings, and grievance procedures as allocated.
* Support the Senior HR Advisor with management of change processes and interview skill training.
* Ensure delivery of objectives within the HR or Care Group operational/busines plans.
Team and working arrangements
The team includes a Head of HR, Deputy Head, four Human Resource Managers, and seven Senior HR Advisors, each line‑managing up to two HR Advisors. This is a hybrid working role, though travel is required.
Qualifications and experience
* A degree or equivalent level qualification in human resources or related discipline.
* Relevant experience supporting employee relations cases (disciplinary, grievance, bullying, harassment, sickness absence, performance management).
* Good understanding of employment legislation, NHS terms and conditions of employment and HR best practice.
* Experience in managing sickness absence is advantageous.
