Anson McCade is a leading recruitment and transformation consultancy, partnering with a global client renowned for delivering large-scale digital transformation across the public and private sectors. We are seeking highly skilled Solution Architects to join established multi-disciplinary teams working on major projects.
This role is suited for individuals who have progressed from a software engineering or development background into architecture, with a strong consulting pedigree and demonstrable experience working on public sector or public health programmes.
As a Solution Architect, you will:
1. Lead multi-skilled agile teams to design and deliver high-quality, user-focused solutions.
2. Work closely with client architects to define functional and non-functional designs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
3. Provide expert advice on technical implications, design complexity, and delivery effort.
4. Mentor, manage, and coach junior team members to support their career growth and development.
5. Act as a technical leader, contributing to policies, standards, and knowledge-sharing across the architecture community.
6. Bring thought leadership on emerging technologies and approaches, helping clients innovate.
Requirements for a successful Solution Architect:
1. A proven background in software engineering with progression into solution or enterprise architecture.
2. A strong consulting background with the ability to interface directly with senior stakeholders.
3. Experience delivering architecture within the public sector or public health environment.
4. Practical knowledge of multi-tiered modern software applications, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), SaaS, and PaaS offerings.
5. Ability to incorporate and prioritize non-functional requirements into design.
6. Excellent communication skills, able to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated capability in coaching, mentoring, and leading small teams.
Desirable experience:
1. Accountability for large and complex technology deliveries, from projects to multi-team programmes.
2. Pre-sales and business development activity alongside account teams.
3. Active contribution to technology communities, knowledge-sharing, and thought leadership.
