Lecturer in Educational Psychometrics (Ref: BU03857)
Salary: £38,249 - £45,413 p.a. (Grade 7) or £46,735 - £55,755 p.a. (Grade 8)
Responsibilities
* Provide psychometric support, advice and guidance to the School’s activities in student assessment and selection across a number of professional programmes.
* Contribute to teaching across the new independent Medicine programme, the teach-out phase of the current Cardiff C21 North Wales Medicine programme, and the new MPharm Pharmacy programme.
* Play a role in developing and quality assuring the new North Wales Medical School as student intake expands over the next 5 years.
* Oversee the development of psychometric tools and analysis to support standard setting approaches for assessments and secure academic standards.
* Engage in continuing professional development and teaching qualifications as part of the role (e.g., University Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma/Masters in Medical Education) with support in the postholder’s job plan.
* Locate the role on campus with potential for remote work under the Dynamic Working framework and discuss arrangements at interview.
* Applications may be considered on a part-time or job share basis.
Qualifications
* Higher degree (or equivalent) in a subject with a high statistical content (e.g., Mathematics, Psychology, Computer Science).
* Knowledge of relevant statistical and psychometric approaches to assessment analysis.

The successful candidate is expected to commence as soon as possible to contribute to teaching and to support the application of psychometrics across the School’s programme delivery.
