We are recruiting for a Bookkeeper to join a busy Stockton-on-Tees business on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with solid bookkeeping experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
You will support the finance function with day-to-day accounting tasks, including debtor management, processing sales invoices, and assisting with accounts payable. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor and respond to finance-related queries promptly
2. Record financial transactions accurately in line with company procedures
3. Perform regular bank and account reconciliations
4. Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations
5. Manage credit control, including chasing outstanding payments and maintaining customer records
6. Process sales invoices and resolve invoice-related queries
7. Manage employee expenses and company card transactions
8. Support month-end processes and escalate any discrepancies
