Compensation: £21,127

About The Role

We’re offering individuals the opportunity to develop their skills and progress their careers through our Apprentice Warehouse Operative (POTAS) apprenticeship. Over 2 years, you’ll gain practical experience, build specialist knowledge, and work towards a recognised qualification - Supply Chain & Warehouse Level 2 qualification.

We will hold our assessment day for this role on Thursday 19th March 2026 at the Port of Tilbury, where you will have the chance to meet some of the team and to find out more about the role and the apprenticeship. We will be in touch before then to let you know if you have been selected to attend.

What you will learn:

As a POTAS apprentice, you will gain a thorough understanding of the wider port operations and receive high quality training on a range of mechanical plant equipment and machinery. You'll gain insights into different port assets by spending time in various areas and develop a deep understanding of health and safety policies and procedures. By the end of the programme, you'll emerge as a fully trained port operative ready to excel in your career.

What are we looking for?

* Functional Skills Level 2 English & Maths (GCSE Grade 4 and above or equivalent) OR you will need to achieve a Functional Skills Level 2 in both subjects as part of the apprenticeship programme

* Individuals who are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the work that we do at the port, and are looking to build valuable skills for your future career

* Ability to work effectively with colleagues in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment

* Full UK working rights

* Full driving license, valid in the UK
